Without doubt the most well known hotel in La Ceiba, the Lodge at Pico Bonito is an iconic hotel for all of Atlantida. This is the premier ecolodge in Honduras. Located at the foot of the Nombre de Dios Mountains, within Pico Bonito National Park. Access is via the CA13 highway, where at approximately Km. 175 you will see a sign indicating the detour, from the highway; it is only 4 km to the property.

The Lodge at Pico Bonito offers 22 luxury rooms, a gourmet restaurant and bar, a lovely pool and a meeting room. From the facilities you will find a series of well maintained private trails, ideal to explore the park, do some outstanding birding or hike up the mountain to some spectacular waterfalls. The trails also offer some observation towers, that will allow you to get up to the same altitude as the forest canopy, and observe the many different trees, flowers, birds and insects that live up high in the forest. The facilities also include a butterfly garden and a small serpentarium, where you will be able to see some of the snakes that inhabit the park, including the deadly fer de lance, or “barba amarilla” as it is known by locals.
